Wayapa Wuurrk® was born from ancient knowledge and a deep truth: real wellbeing cannot exist without connection to the Earth.
In a time where modern wellness is often commercialised and disconnected from its roots, Wayapa stands apart. It is not a trend or a product — it is a return. A return to the Earth, to culture, to the ways of living that sustained the world’s oldest continuous culture for over 100,000 years.
In 2013, Jamie Marloo Thomas — a proud Gunnai/Kurnai and Maar man — began developing Wayapa Wuurrk as a practice to shift how we think about wellness. His vision was to reintroduce Earth into the well-known concept of “Mind, Body, Spirit,” creating a holistic approach that placed Country at its core.
In January 2025, Ngalgarra Resources Indigenous Corporation CEO Juanita "Wanda" Halden was awarded a full scholarship to undertake Wayapa Wuurrk Accredited Practitioner Training through the Federation of Victorian Traditional Owners Council (FVTOC) and Emergency Recovery Victoria (ERV) Aboriginal Culture & Healing Flood Recovery Grant Program, contributing to the Creating Healing, Recovery & Resilience with Country for Community – Wayapa Wuurrk Way Project.
Ngalgarra Resources Indigenous Corporation walks in Wayapa ways as we co create, develop and make accessible culturally informed outcomes. We support the project's audience in engagement, community benefits, social, training or employment pathways. By aligning our West Galari Wiradyuri - yindyamarra - Barapa Barapa cultural values, we create sustainable models of business, community empowerment, land healing and climate resilience. Wherever your project is located, we make authentic connections and approach matters with respect for local mobs.
